Bar Mitzvah Brayden Charlip
Brayden Charlip will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, September 7, 2024. He is the son of Fran and Michael Charlip. Brayden and his parents along with their dog, Whitney, live in Norwalk.
This year Brayden will be entering 8th Grade, his last year at West Rocks Middle School in Norwalk. As a lover of all sports, Brayden is an avid baseball and basketball player. He plays baseball in two different leagues through the spring and summer as well as basketball in the winter. His favorite team is the New York Yankees. Brayden loves hanging out with his friends. His summers are spent between time at Camp Gordyland in Wilton, where he hopes to be a C.I.T. next year, and Swing Away baseball camp in Norwalk.
For Brayden’s Mitzvah project, he volunteered his time with the Circle of Friends organization in Norwalk. There he spent time with people of special needs doing things like baking, music and other activities. He plans to continue his time with Circle of Friends this fall when they are back in session. By giving back in this way, he has gained a stronger sense of connection with his community.
For Brayden, becoming a Bar Mitzvah means he is coming of age and will become a more responsible member of his Jewish and non-Jewish communities.
Brayden wishes to thank Rabbi Paskind, Bracha Moshe, Morah Rhonda and the rest of the Beth El Family for supporting him on his journey over the past eight months.
The Charlips invite you to join the kiddush following the services.
