Join Congregation Beth El Norwalk to learn how your household can help the environment by generating less garbage that ends up in a landfill. \nThe Beth El Social Action Committee is privileged to have engaged Louise Golub\, an expert on the subject\, to share her thoughts and learnings. Louise will speak at Beth El (109 East Avenue\, Norwalk) on Sunday\, September 22 at 2 pm providing information that will help us all make a difference. Louise is a member of Beth El who has been mindful of creating close to zero waste for many years.  While her professional background is as a CPA\, she has taken many college courses in environmental science\, while living in a way that minimizes the trash she generates. \nBased on science and her personal experience\, Louise’s talk will focus on practical ways we can all cut down on the amount of trash we discard. \nThis program is sponsored by the CBE Social Action Committee and is open to the public. DESCRIPTION:CBE’s Social Action Committee has teamed up with the Schoke Kosher Food Pantry truck to offer its services monthly in the CBE parking lot.  Each month this truck serves the members of our community with food staples and needs. We are thrilled that the St. Paul’s Church has joined us and over the summer months provides fresh vegetables to the clients.  Volunteers are welcome.  Contact Sylvia Schulman or Leah Schechter for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Weekly Shabbat services begin at 10:00 am (9:30 am when there is a B Mitzvah) in person and via our livestream feed.  Our services combine traditional and contemporary prayers. Rabbi Ita Paskind’s D’var Torah offers thought provoking and inspirational words.  We often spotlight guests and congregants to be our guest D’var Torah assuring different perspectives on Torah and “hot topics.”
