DESCRIPTION:CBE’s Social Action Committee has teamed up with the Schoke Kosher Food Pantry truck to offer its services monthly in the CBE parking lot.  Each month this truck serves the members of our community with food staples and needs. DESCRIPTION:This special trip to the Jewish Museum is sponsored by the Beth Elles and open to all.  The group will be led through the permanent collection by Beth Elles’s friend\, Helane Rheingold. \nHelane has had a lifelong passion for\, and connection to\, the world of art\, artists\, art history and art museums. For 30 years\, she has been educating herself and others about art.  She has facilitated conversations with adults and children; in libraries\, schools and private senior residences in Connecticut and New York\, as well as acting as a docent at the Neuberger Museum of Art\, SUNY Purchase. \nSpace is limited to the first 20 people at the special rate of only $36 per person\, including transportation from CBE.  The bus will leave our parking lot promptly at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday April 7. We will be grabbing lunch before heading back. (This is not included in the cost to register.)  Register HERE.

Dress as your favorite rock star while we play karaoke and read the Megillah.   Celebratory Purim Brunch is on the menu!   And a bounce house to really shake things up!  Don’t forget your box of macaroni to use as a grogger and donate afterwards. DESCRIPTION:Weekly Shabbat services begin at 10:00 am (9:30 am when there is a B Mitzvah) in person and via our livestream feed.  Our services combine traditional and contemporary prayers. Rabbi Ita Paskind’s D’var Torah offers thought provoking and inspirational words.  We often spotlight guests and congregants to be our guest D’var Torah assuring different perspectives on Torah and “hot topics.”

DESCRIPTION:All are invited to join Rabbi Paskind’s new Limud\, or text study\, group on Tuesdays at 12pm (in person and on Zoom).  We will read and discuss our way through the Prophets in the Tanach\, or Hebrew Bible.  Please bring your own copy of the Bible (JPS Tanakh is a great option)\, or bring up the text on www.sefaria.org on your screen.  Feel free to bring your (non-meat) lunch and eat while we learn together.

SUMMARY:Schoke Kosher Food Pantry Truck
DESCRIPTION:CBE’s Social Action Committee has teamed up with the Schoke Kosher Food Pantry truck to offer its services monthly in the CBE parking lot.  Each month this truck serves the members of our community with food staples and needs. We are thrilled that the St. Paul’s Church has joined us and over the summer months provides fresh vegetables to the clients.  Volunteers are welcome.  Contact Sylvia Schulman or Leah Schechter for more information.
